2020 Passages Race Day
In light of the COVID-19 situation in the community and the government’s recent recommendations, we will be postponing Passages Race Day for this year.
Vinnies WA and the Rotary Club of Perth takes the health and wellbeing of our supporters and the wider community very seriously. After considering many factors and consulting with those close to the event including Perth Racing, the decision was made to postpone Passages Race Day till a later date, so we can still have the opportunity to come together to celebrate the power of community.
The funds raised from our platinum, gold and silver sponsorships assist us in providing practical assistance such as food, clothing, bathroom and laundry facilities and computer access to Passages Youth Engagement Hubs*. Funds from sponsorship contribute to allowing Vinnies to provide individualised and therapeutic support to manage young people’s crisis, develop life skills and access other support services to prevent further crisis and help provide a pathway out of homelessness.
The postponement of this event has placed us in a vulnerable position this year. However if you feel you may like to continue to support us and donate through our Commit to Change pledge, you can find details here.
We hope to be able to set a date for the event in the future when the risk of infection from coronavirus has subsided and public health is no longer at risk. We will continue to keep you updated and thank you for your ongoing support.
