Staged Restriction Period Saturday 3 July until Monday 12 July 2021

Vinnies WA is announcing a range of measures to ensure the safety of members, volunteers, staff, clients, and customers for the 4-day lockdown for Perth and Peel Regions.

Emergency Assistance Call Centre

Our Call Centre will continue to be open Monday to Friday 9.00am – 1.00pm but please be mindful you may experience a greater waiting time to get through to a call-taker. Requests for assistance can be made on 1300 794 054 or click HERE for regional phone numbers and opening hours

Vinnies Support Centres

Our Support Centres in the Perth metropolitan and Peel regions will provide a limited number of face-to-face appointments with necessary restrictions in place.  Face masks must be worn at all times.  Most support during this period will be provided online or over the phone.  Any support centres outside of these areas will continue to offer services.

Home Visitation

Using a varied service delivery model, we will continue to provide Emergency Assistance for food, bill payments, rent assistance, furniture requests, and advocacy.  Vinnies WA will conduct a limited number of home visitations during the staged restriction period with the majority of support being provided online or over the phone.  Home visitations outside these areas will continue if requested.

Furniture Pickups & Deliveries

Furniture pickups and deliveries will be available and please call 6323 7520 to make an appointment.

Vinnies WA Shops

All Vinnies shops in the Perth metropolitan and Peel regions will reopen from Saturday 3 July with necessary restrictions in place.  Face masks must be worn at all times, and checking in with the SafeWA App, or completing the Contact Register on arrival is required.

Vinnies WA shops outside these areas, that is country and regionals towns, will continue to trade normal shopping hours.

Homelessness, Housing and Mental Health Services

All our Vinnies services such as Passages Youth Engagement Hubs, Tom Fisher House, Vinnies Mental Health, and Housing Plus services remain open.  Stringent screening, restricted visiting, social distancing, and hygiene precautions are in place to ensure the continued safe provision of service, and face masks are required at all times.

Financial Counselling

If you are experiencing financial difficulty then please call the National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007 and support will be provided online and/or over the phone.  All Vinnies WA face-to-face appointments that were cancelled during the lockdown will be rescheduled, and face masks are required for all appointments.

Donations

Vinnies WA continues to operate and will be accepting monetary donations via phone 13 18 12, online at www.vinnieswa.org.au or at your local Vinnies shops.
