To our Vinnies Customers …

At Vinnies, our first priority is the safety and wellbeing of the community – our customers, our volunteers and our staff.

In response to COVID-19 we have introduced several measures to minimise the risk of infection through our services, shops and offices which includes the most up-to-date advice from health and government authorities and information on hand hygiene, coughing and sneezing etiquette as well as the increased supply of cleaning products.

Our shops remain open for business and are continuing to service our local communities as well as accept donations.
You may have some questions around donating and purchasing second-hand items but to mitigate the risk and ensure proper hygiene we ask you to follow some simple precautions.

• Please wash any clothing, linen or soft furnishings.
• Use a disinfectant to clean children’s toys, shoes, used mattresses, furniture and homewares
• Clean your hands with soap or hand sanitiser
• Avoid touching your face (eyes, mouth, nose)

When making a purchase in any one of our stores we would prefer you made payments with a contactless card (such as Eftpos, credit cards or Apple Pay) rather than cash to minimise contact.

We also ask that you please don’t visit a Vinnies store if you are feeling unwell or have recently visited overseas.

To ensure the safety and welfare of our customers, we have instructed our staff and volunteers to stay at home if they are experiencing any symptoms of the virus and are making sure our people are supported as we work through this difficult time.
