WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

Vinnies WA will begin stage one of our retail strategy with the reopening of six shops this week.

With the ease of government restrictions and community demand for affordable clothing and household goods, we have selected six shops to reopen on Thursday 7th May 2020.

Vinnies shops in Kalamunda, Cannington, Belmont, Halls Head, Joondalup and our Bunbury Depot will begin trading with some restrictions to opening hours and a limited number of volunteers.

To ensure the safety of our customers, staff and volunteers we will be continuing to implement measures in the shops that will include maintaining social distancing with floor signage, limited customers instore at any one time, availability of hand sanitiser and encouraging contactless or eftpos as the preferred form of payment.

Signe Balodis, Vinnies Retail Operations Manager says that being able to reopen shops has always been a top priority for Vinnies so we can continue to meet community need, especially as Winter approaches.

“Being able to open our doors in selected shops this week means people can have direct access again to our emergency assistance for clothes and household goods, but it is also an opportunity for our customers to have an affordable shopping experience again. Our shops are ready to go and fully stocked with Winter clothing so we really encourage everyone to come back and see us.”

“Vinnies shops are such a big part of communities right around the State and since we have been closed we have had a lot of community response and questions on when we were possibly resuming trading. We are pleased we can offer a safe and welcoming shopping experience to our customers who support us with their purchases and donations.” Ms Balodis said.

There are plans for the next stage of shops openings to happen in late May which could see a further 16 shops in various locations be open for business for retail shopping and to accept donations.

Shop trading hours will be initially from Tuesday to Saturdays, 11am – 4pm.

For more information on opened shop locations and trading hours please see our COVID-19 section on the website.
