It’s less than 4 days to go the Vinnies Good Night In. This new and exciting event is designed to bring people and communities together while raising funds for thousands of Western Australians in need each year.

Having just experienced another lockdown here in Western Australia, and the extension of some of the Government virus restrictions, we know too well how disconnection and isolation can impact us, and just how support and staying connected to friends and family is vital. But for over 65,000 Western Australians each year, Vinnies WA is their only means of support when times are tough.

The Vinnies Good night In on Friday 7 May, is all about connecting and sharing your night with others, and then giving what you raise to Vinnies. What could be simpler than staying in for the night with friends, family, or work colleagues and donating what you would have spent on a night out?

One person who will be rising to the challenge of having a Good Night In with Vinnies WA on the night is our very own MC, Perth raised comedian and rising media personality Ciaran Lyons. He is a strong advocate for addressing hardship people face, seeing first-hand the impact of experiencing homelessness can take by being one of the participants in the last SBS series Filthy Rich and Homeless. Knowing the work that Vinnies WA does and the support that can be offered to people who suffer loneliness and isolation through our Emergency Assistance was why he was really keen to be a part of this event.

“It’s great to be involved in this important event that is not only raising money for a great cause, but also helping us realise how important it is to have close relationships in our lives.  It is something many of us take for granted, myself included, but many vulnerable Western Australians don’t have access to.”

We have had to make some changes to our event on Friday night in lieu of the current WA COVID-19 restrictions in place.  But the good news is that we are still going ahead so you can still join us and Ciaran at 7pm to share your Good Night In. Simply head to either the Vinnies Good Night In website or our Vinnies WA Facebook page on the day to access the presentation.

There is still time to register before Friday to take part or even make a donation by heading to our website. Vinnies Good Night In is designed to bring people and communities together, so why not have a Good Night In and raise some much needed funds for Western Australians in need.
