The Vinnies Street Appeal raised over $35,000 for our Emergency Assistance program. The annual Vinnies Street Appeal received generous support from the community on Friday, 13 September 2019.
This fundraising initiative supports our Emergency Assistance program, which helps address the needs of people experiencing poverty and in some cases at risk of homelessness with dignity, compassion and respect through advocacy and support plus the provision of food, clothing, furniture and bedding, help with utility bills and rent.
The community response to the Vinnies Street Appeal in Mandurah was strong as locals were constantly dropping money in the tin all day. “This money helps people in need with furniture, clothing, food, utility bills and many other things,” Mandurah Vincentian May Renwick said. “All the funds we collect allows us to do more within the community”.
With such a successful day the members thoroughly enjoyed themselves and are looking forward to making a positive change through the Vinnies Emergency Assistance program.
